Anyone surprised Ford didn't choose to put the 3.5 twin turbo V6 from the Ford Explorer into the new Mustang? I thought for sure we would see that power plant as an option.

I would have thought Ford to use that as an option to the Coyote. Just like Ford has options with the F-150, the EcoBoost has been a popular upgrade for many, it seems like it would have migrated over to the Mustang as well. When you hear that Ford will be turbocharging a Mustang, one would assume it would have just been the 3.5 EcoBoost motor. I can see the "Eco-conscious" manufactures choosing an inline 4 banger though, it does make the car way more marketable and more affordable world wide. Maybe with great sales, will come more options! Let's keep our fingers crossed!

I think the turbo V6 will be offered at some later model year maybe 2016 or 2017, maybe I should not buy a 2015 turbo i4 and save my money for the V6 turbo, that will be a tough call.
