I am considering changing out the stock front Grills with aftermarket and would be interested in hearing and seeing what is out there from members.
I went with this one too, however the drivers side has never worked
Most 'front end' parts for the 2018+ will not fit on 2015-17 and vice versa. Other than that, I can't really offer any more insight here. This will be strictly how you choose to do your aesthetic. If you link the part, we can tell you for certain if the fit will work.I have a 2018 EB; which has a different upper and lower grille than 2015-2017 models. I have looked at several grilles that will not fit a 2018 EB. American Muscle offers a MP Concepts upper and lower grille at a reasonable price for a 2018. Has anyone installed these on their EB? I like the look of the MP Concepts grilles and they may work better with a Cobb Intercooler. I may add a Running Horse Chrome 1968 grille emblem since the grille is plain.
Huge respect for the B-17 vets. I went for a ride in one about 15 years ago; it's a great experience... when you're not flying in sub-zero freezing cold with no pressurization at high altitude while thousands of Nazis are trying to kill you. Those guys were the gutsiest. My plane was the C-130, which is a whole lot more comfortable, and we hardly ever got shot at.Sarge, That is a beautiful Mustang. The color is AWESOME!! I see you are an Air Force Vet. My dad was a B-17 waist gunner; he was shot down over Belgium in WWII. Thank you for your service.
Throw in the pressure put on them to actually hit the target, and not collateral areas, plus LeMay threatening to court marshall any plane that broke off its route and didn't drop its payload....and those guys were absolute HEROES. Walked inside of one at the Air and Space Museum in DC, and definitely had a moment.Huge respect for the B-17 vets. That was way before my time too. Hats off to you guys at Khe Sanh.Have I shared with you a photo of a C-130 I took at Khe Sanh? You guys kept us going. Thank you. View attachment 37472
Some of my favorite missions were the ones when we were hauling a unit of grunts out of Bagdad. After a year in the sandbox, everyone was so happy to cram themselves into the Herk, no complaining or whining about how uncomfortable it was, everybody smiling and bright-eyed, usually quiet like they were afraid to say or do something that would jinx us on the way home. Call me crazy, but I could literally feel the hope in the air, it made the plane feel light, like it would fly even if the wings came off. Even if it wasn't my turn to go home, I loved flying people out.The Air Force really saved our butt.
Wow; Fritz and Sarge...thanks for your service gentlemen. Sarge, my brother just finished up 22 years of Air Force; mostly rebuilding and test cell for C-130 Powerplants at Davis-Monthan. Really enjoyed that job before he got chained to a desk. Fritz; been studying the WWII Air War my whole life, and I can't say enough about the bravely of those guys who climbed into B-17's when they knew the odds were that they would only last 8-missions. (The saying "Borrowed Time" came from those days. Anyone who lasted longer than 8 missions was said to be flying on borrowed time, as they had beaten the average, so some other poor guy bought it before his time...) I also went up for a ride in a B-17 once with the Heritage Foundation, and I believe they still offer flights. Well worth the money you'll spend to go up and see what it feels like. It was truly one of the highlights of my life.Freedom Bird. Thank you for sharing. Best job I ever had.
Yep, I have 2 Fusions - that's why I didn't go with that grille! However, even though that grille wouldn't be my choice, you have one of my favorite cars on here, appearance-wise.T-Rex billet aluminum. Upper is a replacement, lower goes over the original. I guess it looks more like a Fusion, but IMO the Fusion is a good-looking car, and I like it.
