Howdy y'all,

I have a base model '21 Ecoboost that came without paddle shifters (assuming this is due to the chip shortage), is there any way to buy the necessary parts and add them back?

Thanks in advance.

Wow. Did not know this was a thing now. Just spitballin' here, but I'm guessing you're going to have to replace the entire steering wheel, and then probably program them with forscan.

Probably can be added but not going to be cheap. You can have your dealer parts dept run a BOM (build of materials) on your VIN and tell you if your car was built with or without the paddle shifters.

I have heard of 2022s and 2023s being built without some options but not 2021s.

Haven’t heard of this either. If it’s just the paddles not being installed they should theoretically just bolt up. But if ford opted for a cheaper clock spring on low trim cars it could get difficult and costly
