Our catch cans are now officially on sale!

These are for the 2.3 Ecoboost Mustang.

We have two versions, a stage 1 kit which works on your CCV side, and a stage 2 kit that works with the PCV side.

Each stage comes with everything necessary to install the kit on your car. Instructions can be found on our website.

These cans boast one of the largest capacities on the market (over 350ml) and are CNC machined from billet aluminum with no welding.

For the first few days, we are going to be running a discounted price on these cans to act as intro pricing. We will have a spot to enter your forum name so we can see if you heard about the cans here. Take advantage of this pricing now, because it won't last forever.

These beautifully machined pieces of billet aluminum are crucial in any direct injected car. They work to collect oil and moisture passing through your vacuum system and to prevent it from entering back into your intake where it would collect on the back of the intake valves and gunk up the inside of your engine, causing carbon build-up.

The Boomba Racing Catch Can is meant to be easy to install, and easy to service. With a mounting bracket that makes it quick and easy to remove, draining this catch can is super convenient. This catch can utilizes a two stage outlet to ensure that the oil within the vapor going through the can is trapped.

Features of the Boomba Racing Catch Can:
-Holds over 350ml of liquid
-2-step outlet filtration system
-User-configurable inlet/outlet set-up
-Easy-drain NPT plug
-Sight window to see the level of the contents
-CNC machined from billet aluminum [no sloppy welds here]
-Available in natural aluminum, red, black, or blue
-Comes with a bracket that helps to make it easier to mount on your specific project

Many people have been asking why a catch can is needed, let me try to sum it up in the easiest way possible.

All cars, turbocharged or not suffer from something called blow-by. Blow-by is excess oil pressure that makes it through the factory PCV system and gets routed back into your intake where it can make its way onto your intake valves. Over time the valves become gunked up with oil and carbon deposits. With normal fuel injected motors this wasn't as big of a deal because the fuel injectors would spray the valves during combustion, hence cleaning them a little. However on modern cars like the Fiesta ST, Focus ST, Mustang Ecoboost, and many more that are direct injected, the fuel is injected directly into the cylinder for a cleaner and more efficient burn. The problem with this is that the valves are no longer being cleaned by the spray from the injectors. So now excess oil vapor is being sucked back into your intake, your valves are getting coated, and your car is not running efficiently.

Here is where the catch can comes into play. By using a catch can that mounts in-line with the PCV or CCV system, it will trap that oil vapor that would have otherwise made it into your intake. Our catch can is one of the largest on the market, so customers will not have to be bothered with emptying the can very often.

So which one do you recommend the pcv or ccv?
Thanks!
Hey there,

There are a few differences between the stage 1 catch can and stage 2 catch can. The stage 1 catch can works on the low pressure CCV [Crank Case Ventilation] side of you vacuum system in between your valve cover and intake tubing. The stage 2 can works on the high pressure side and works between your PCV [Positive Crankcase Ventilation] valve and intake manifold. If you are looking to run one can only, we’d recommend stage 2 because it is going to catch a lot more oil and contaminants than the stage one will.

Let me know if you have any further questions!
