Club Trials at Texas World Speedway

Texas Region SCCA is hosting a level 2 Club Trials event at Texas World Speedway November 5 and November 6. This is the Last “Last” event at TWS based on the site no longer be available for racing. In January 2016, the track
is planned to close permanently, and the land will be redeveloped as a housing development known
as “Southern Pointe”.

This will be your last chance to run in a Time Trial format at a world famous venue that has hosted Nascar, IndyCar, Formula One, IMSA and more! Walk through the paddocks and grounds where Willie Nelson hosted his summer barbecue with Jimmy Buffet.

Texas World Speedway
Club Trials Event

Attention all autocrossers and track junkies!

Fall has arrived and the racing seasons are nearly over but you have one more chance this year to test your driving skills against the competition, at the upcoming Club Trials event in College Station.

Texas Region is once again offering a Time Trials Level 2/Club Trial event for experienced track drivers, at Texas World Speedway. Yes, this storied track is still open so here's your chance to run a venue that has hosted NASCAR, IndyCar, IMSA and more! And we'll be running the full 2.9 mile road course, so bring plenty of enthusiasm and lots of fuel.

The Club Trials event will run in conjunction with the season-ending SWRRC Club Race event, Saturday November 5th and Sunday November 6th. You can sign up for both days (for $175), or just one of the two (for $125) - your choice. We'll run as Group 1 during the Club Race, with 3-20 minute sessions on both days. And in between your run sessions you'll have a chance to watch some exciting wheel-to-wheel action as the Club Race folks take to the track.

Club Trials is a timed competetion so transponders are required but we'll provide a rental if you don't have one, and the rental is included in the entry fee. And any car that meets the safety requirements for SCCA Solo can run (exception: no open wheel cars allowed).

All the details are in the event schedule and Supplementals:

Entry fees are a bargain for this much track time and entries will be limited to minimize traffic and passing, so get your spot early in case the event sells out. Registration is through motorsportreg and the link is available through the Texas Region web site at texasscca.org, or you can just go to the link here: Club Trials Registration

And for those who prefer a manual approach, here's a printable entry form:

So how about it folks? You bring the car, and we'll supply the fun!!
