Cobb still not supporting 2023 Mustang (and may never)

Some people might remember, I traded my '21 HPP/HP for a '23 HPP/HP. I used the Cobb Accessport on my '21 and loved the performance boost. That said, here's my issue which I want to make sure other 2023 owners are aware of.
If you buy a 2023, you may never be able to tune your car using a Cobb. Support for 2022 is where they've stopped. After volunteering my car to be used as a remote tuning bed to Cobb back when I first took possession of it 12/21/22 I was told on the phone by one of their reps to put on the break in miles that they were getting the support ready for the '23's. Since then, 4 months later, and several more inquiries, they don't even support the 2023 Mustang, yet alone have an OTS tuning solution in the works. I was told my ECU isn't the same as the previous models and the company isn't making it a priority. This is very frustrating and disappointing. I went from tuning Mustangs I owned (several over the past years) with SCT devices to Cobb and now regret doing so after this experience. I essentially own a $650 paperweight, I can't even plug it into my car and use the gauges, the car won't even recognize the tuner because its firmware is also not being recognized. So beware, looking to get the last of the S550's you just might be in the same boat as the S650 crowd with a locked ECU and no immediate tuning solution.
From what I understand I can go back to SCT for a solution on my 2023. So this is my warning to our community, if you own an 2023 don't look to Cobb for tuning.
That said, I have a flawless condition Cobb Accessport, including everything that came with it in a perfect condition box that I'd be willing to sell locally. I live in the central Ohio area, and would even be willing to take the time to set it up on your car if you aren't very familiar with tuning. I haven't put up an official ad for it yet, but $450 cash would take it off my hands if shipped, $400 cash in hand if you are local and wanna meet me somewhere close to 43040 where I live.

I'm sorry to hear about that, Ford's trying to appease the EPA by locking the motors up completely and its such BS.

Yeah, true story.
One of a few of my reasons that caused me to trade my '21 for the '23 was to have one of the last of the S550's and in a scarce color combo. I originally was gonna keep my '21 and daily drive it and order a Dark Horse, but after the reveal last September I was less than impressed with what I saw and what I was hearing, which was a locked ECU coming. I also don't care for the screens, or the elimination of the iconic double hump dash look. I'm also still fairly luke warm on the way they look on the exterior. So I assumed since my '23 was pretty much the same car as the '21 was I'd be able to instantly use my Cobb. Wrong. Guess Ford, unannounced, decided to give the '23 cars an ECU that's similar to what's gonna be used in the '24, or so I've been told, Cobb did state my ECU was not the same. What makes it worse, initially I was told one thing by Cobb, only to over a few months time have it change too. Leading me to believe maybe my '23 ECU is also locked, and unable to be tuned. If that's the case, my '23 is the last new Ford I ever buy, because they don't wanna build cars other than the Mustang any more, and I don't buy trucks or SUV's. I'm actually car shopping for either a Kia or a Hyundai now to get so I can keep the miles super low on my '23 and definitely in the garage on rainy days and all winter. Once I get motivated I'll be creating an ad to sell my like new Cobb, if the car is ever able to be tuned in the future I'll be going back to SCT for that.

More like slow walked the '23 upgrade for existing owners, but you can think whatever you want. I got notified last night via email Cobb support. Back to being tuned again after 6 months of my Cobb being an expensive paperweight.

Lol, did you read where I pointed out that it took a full year plus for 2018? I guess they hated 2018 owners even more than 2023 owners! They probably hate making money, too. All the more reason to take their time. 🤣 Now go enjoy your tune and be sure to let us know what you think. 😘
