Hello Dragstrip Racers!
As I have browsed the forums I have seen a number of independent threads surrounding 1/4 mile times that drivers like you have managed from your EcoBoost Mustangs. Working with the Moderator team, we are opening a 1/4 mile list sticky to live in the Mustang EcoBoost Drag Racing section as a quick reference guide to the performance achievements of the drivers and their cars!
How can I participate?
Simply post a photo of a timeslip from your track and the details about your car. Year, trim level, transmission type, final drive, modifications, anything and everything! Why not throw in a photo of your car too while you're at it? If you are a more manual input sort of person, you can also type in your timeslip data in the following format:
Username ------------- 60' -- 1/8 ET - 1/4 ET - 1/4 MPH ---- Mods ----- Date with time -------- Speedway
From this data we will populate a list (in this post) and a develop quick reference legend for casual browsers.
Why so detailed?
Track, Date, and Time is used to determine Density Altitude (DA) during the run, it has a huge effect on horsepower production, resulting 1/4 mile times, and gives everyone an idea of the elevation of the run.
Any other data, such as year/transmission, race weight (if known) etc is also helpful to those doing research on modifications and their impact on short times.
If you don't have all that data, that's okay, we will take what you've got.
What if I haven't run a drag strip, can I use my performance computer or app data?
I recommend that you get out to your nearest drag strip and have some fun! For performance computer and app racers, don't fret, because we will launch a separate sticky thread for those metrics as well.
Thanks for participating, and I look forward to seeing your timeslips roll in. The 2019 race season is coming fast!
