Hello Dragstrip Racers!

As I have browsed the forums I have seen a number of independent threads surrounding 1/4 mile times that drivers like you have managed from your EcoBoost Mustangs. Working with the Moderator team, we are opening a 1/4 mile list sticky to live in the Mustang EcoBoost Drag Racing section as a quick reference guide to the performance achievements of the drivers and their cars!

How can I participate?

Simply post a photo of a timeslip from your track and the details about your car. Year, trim level, transmission type, final drive, modifications, anything and everything! Why not throw in a photo of your car too while you're at it? If you are a more manual input sort of person, you can also type in your timeslip data in the following format:

Username ------------- 60' -- 1/8 ET - 1/4 ET - 1/4 MPH ---- Mods ----- Date with time -------- Speedway

From this data we will populate a list (in this post) and a develop quick reference legend for casual browsers.

Why so detailed?

Track, Date, and Time is used to determine Density Altitude (DA) during the run, it has a huge effect on horsepower production, resulting 1/4 mile times, and gives everyone an idea of the elevation of the run.
Any other data, such as year/transmission, race weight (if known) etc is also helpful to those doing research on modifications and their impact on short times.

If you don't have all that data, that's okay, we will take what you've got.

What if I haven't run a drag strip, can I use my performance computer or app data?

I recommend that you get out to your nearest drag strip and have some fun! For performance computer and app racers, don't fret, because we will launch a separate sticky thread for those metrics as well.

Thanks for participating, and I look forward to seeing your timeslips roll in. The 2019 race season is coming fast!

I helped with one of these on another forum, you could add a Google form that users could fill out and submit, and the results would get emailed to a moderator for review. Helps keep down clutter in the thread.

2018 Ecoboost Base with 10spd auto with stock 235/55r17 all season tires and 3.15 rear. Mods AEM drop in filter, Air Raid intake tube. Diablosport 93oct can tune. Dropped rear tire air pressure to 26 psi. The calculated DA at the time was 2000ft. My time is left side, the right side is a Cadillac CTSV

Wow, awesome 60ft time. Would you describe your launch technique?

Keep foot on brake and bring it to where the rear tires try to start to spin and bring the RPMs down below that to find my launch rpm. Usually that’s the first run. Later in the evening when a lot of rubber has been put down I’ll up the rpm a little bit.

Another personal best at around 2300 DA. 2018 Base model with stock 235/55r17 all seasons 3.15 gears. Drop in air filter, air raid tube, Mishimoto IC, Roush y pipe and Diablosport 93 oct canned tune. Just ordered some 255/50 17 Nitto 555. Think I can get low 12’s with this set up especially when fall rolls around.

Went out to the Redding Drag Strip last night with a friend. It was 93 when I made my first pass at 7:43pm. Made 6 passes total. The 4th one, my personal best from last night is shown below. My time is on the right, #121.

Not great by any means, and certainly slower than I've managed on the street. But here were the conditions: Elev: 505', Temp: 91, Baro: 14.28 or 29.087, Humidity: around 40%, DA: 3,237', Charge Air Temp: 130 at the start of the run, Total Weight: Around 4076 lbs

I need to weigh mine at the truck stop on my way to track next time to see where I’m at.

FYI... I was only at the weight because I was at 3/4 of a tank, plus I had my friend in the car the whole time... so 185 lbs for me, plus him plus the gas. Normally I'd be at around 3800 or so.

I was wondering why your car was so heavy. Lol

I'm finally getting around to beginning my anticipated upgrades, and the stinking local dragstrip doesn't have another T&T until October! The next closest track is over 5 hours away. I guess It'll all have to be based on my 0-60 back road forays, but it's just not the same.

12.28 @ 109 mph is my best 1/4 mile time. I ran a 7.57 @ 93.xx mph in the 1/8th mile. That equates to an 11.80 1/4 mile time. I have a MAP turbo upgrade kit with lots of other goodies burning corn. I'm signed up for Hot Rod Drag Week again this year and I'll have a new long block in the car. Wish me luck...

Can I get the full timeslip for your best pass and a short list of mods to include in the leaderboard?

I don't have the time slip for the Drag Week 12.28 pass but I'll include the one I have for my best 1/8th mile pass so far.

My 1/8th mile time is on the left. 7.57 seconds @ 92.15 mph.

On July 1st the car gets a new motor. I'll have updated time slips sometime after that. This car is going on Hot Rod Drag Week again this year.

Been doing some analysis and graphing of my best run at Redding Drag Strip from last week, and according to what I'm seeing from the datalogs I captured that evening, even though I only managed a 14.11 @ 100.01, I was getting about 318 WHP, which isn't too shabby IMHO. If it had been cooler out, less humidity and I didn't have a passenger in the car, it seems I would have easily broke in the mid 13's.
