I hope so..These EcoStangs are "new", even though Ford has done a lot of other eco boost platforms, successfully. I was anticipating some small problems with our cars. Iv'e had none...(knock on wood) Hopefully yours is a computer thing and all is well. Have you decided on a personalized license plate ?

Oh I didn't all the way down! Lol I didn't yet. I was saying my pick was the mustang and the WRX and now with this problem the WRX may have been a better choice. Hoping for just the software update!

That P0300 is a RANDOM misfire code, as opposed to a specific cylinder misfire code. I suppose the thing to do would be to take the car to the dealer to have them check it out? There may be a technical service bulletin (TSB) related to that code, based on the cars production date. It's worth a visit to find out.

Yea I own it. Lol. I'm just saying with a CEL on with 1k miles on it makes me feel like I made the wrong choice of going with the mustang instead of the WRX.
Mustang is never the wrong choice! :D

Hope you get it solved quickly

Had a similar code and light around the same mileage when I first got the Mustang. It happened on a Friday night so the service guys couldn't get to it until after the weekend. They said it is not unusual for these new vehicles to throw codes and to bring it in and they would make sure the software on the ECU was up to date.

Drove it through the weekend and the code and check engine light went away on its own. I have not been able to replicate the code or light. Have not had an issue since (shrug). You should be good to go.

Ahhh Haaa...so there IS a TSB about the P0300 misfire code. I guess this means a trip to the dealer for a computer software reflash?
