Hot Rod Drag Week Info

I've got my hotel rooms booked for each day of Drag week. Now all I have to do is get registered when the time comes. I'll be on the keyboard the second registration begins. Anybody else going this year? And no.. I won't be driving my 1993 Notch. Maybe another year. I'll be driving my 2015 Mustang Ecoboost. I'm hoping to have it in the 11's by the time Drag Week gets here.

September 12 – Day Two Racing

September 13 – Day Three Racing

I want to get out and spectate at least 1 day. Probably at Byron or GLD. I was setting my z28 up to run it in 2008 but I ended up buying a house and broke the car that year.

That would be cool if you did. It would be nice to meet you. Assuming that I am able to get myself signed up for Drag Week. I hear getting in the event can be kind of tough. Lots of people want to go but there are only so many spots available. I'll keep you posted.

And I was able to register for Drag Week this year!! Now all I have to do is get that MAP Turbo kit on my EcoStang. I'm still hoping for 11's but time will tell!

I was just reading the rules for Hot Rod Drag Week (Probably should have done that before I entered).

They state, and I quote:

"All entries are required to use purpose-built drag-race drive tires on the track, including slicks, DOT-approved slicks (examples: Mickey Thompson ET Street, Hoosier Quick Time D.O.T), or drag radials (examples: Mickey Thompson ET Street Radial, Hoosier D.O.T Drag Radial, BFG Drag Radial, Nitto NT05R). No conventional treaded street tires."

DAMNIT!! Now I have to buy $400 bucks worth of tires to go play on Drag Week this year.

Here is a link to 2017 Hot Rod Drag Week Rules for anybody that cares to read them.
