I have an '18 Ecoboost and I didn't want the Symposer or ANC. YES I disconnected the Mics (front and rear) and the ANC went away but the Symposer remained. I turned off the Symposer with Forscan (ACM 727-01-01 FA00 to F800) but I wanted to do more (that some might find useful).

I created a splice cable for the amp that switches ON or OFF the 6 pins (9-14) that feed "ANC" and with the dip switch. With the Symposer turned ON (FA00) and the mics connected I can turn on each and all 6 ANC channels and enable both ANC and the Symposer (fake engine noise). I'm not sure why anybody would want to do this but it does allow one to enable/disable both the ANC and Symposer "on the fly".

I since disconnected the mics and returned to F800.
