How do I know I have the fake engine noise on the ecoboost?

FP Tune will also disable it.

Negative, Paul. I confirmed it will not. It became a problem once I put my amp and my subwoofer in. And this was way after the FP tune. The sub woofer would just echo the exhaust note. You have to go in with either Forscan (as I did) or go into the liner and disable the mic.

Based on the change in the engine noise inside the cabin after installing the FP tune I would say that the tune does shut it off. Plus, when comparing my As-Built parameters that you change to turn it off with ForScan to the original As-Built parameters for my car they are different after the tune than before even though they are not the same as what I have seen published for turning it off.

All of the info I have seen published regarding issues with sub-woofers comes from the noise cancellation system not the sound symposer. Disconnecting the mics in the headliner is what most due to solve sub-woofers issues.

I thought we WERE talking about the ANC and not the sound symposer. I'm telling you that WITH THE FP tune installed, I had to go in afterwards, and disable "ANC" in Forscan in order to get my exhaust echo to quit boomin out of my subwoofer. Once, this was done, the 'boom' out the sub, stopped. The FP tune did not disable ANC. I stand by that experience.

I did check the SPECIFIC entry for ANC prior to making the change, and noted that it was not set to dsiable, while running FP tune, and BEFORE making the forscan change myself. As soon as I made the change myself, the 'echo' out the sub was gone. That's the ANC.

It has to be one of the quietest cars I have owned, with less exhaust note
I absolutely loathed the stock exhaust noise. Replacing the exhaust has been my most expensive mod thus far, but definitely very worth it.
