What kind of FORD oil to use? after you pick your vehicle year and model?
just highlight the HTTP then click on it, then secure search the search.

=========================================================================================

I have spent hours on the internet trying to find the correct way to change the Transmission oil and filter.

The best I have is this.
Automatic transmission oil and filter changes;
on page 221 the Owners manual reads; AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLUID CHECK If required, have an authorized dealer check and change the transmission fluid at the correct service interval. See Scheduled Maintenance (page 417). Reads: The automatic transmission does not have a transmission fluid dipstick.

My 2017 has an Automatic Transmission 6R80 model and it has a dipstick. See attachment.
I have spent hours looking for a good video that shows the correct procedure for filling the oil to the proper levels. I have NOT found any.
But, I did find the MANUFACTURES GENERAL PROCEDURES. see attachment.
PICT. of my trans oil.

I live in Las Vegas NV where it's HOT, so I treat my vehicles to excessive heat and dust applications.

NOTE; There are different Trans. oil pan gaskets used by manufacturers of the filter and the gasket. the newer ones like Ford use a steel rubberized gasket and others use all rubberized. these gaskets require different torque values. Use the correct torque setting for the appropriate gasket.

Hope you find this information useful.

Happy Motoring.

Not entirely sure if you’re asking for help or not. The ford guide is confusing because they say the same thing like 4 times slightly differently.

im assuming you know how to drop the pan and replace the filter. Measure the fluid you removed as it’s a good starting point. I drained ~7 quarts

once it’s back together and you have put fluid back in get the car up to temp while it’s on a lift or jackstands. Use a scanner to make sure the trans is at temp (91c - 102c)

climb under the car while it’s idleing and in park, remove the dipstick and check it’s at the top of the dipstick. Add or remove fluid as necessary. Be careful your cat will be hot as fuck and right next to the dipstick

I also like to drive the car a few hundred Kms and check again. Just in case some got sucked back into the torque converter. It’s stupid ford doesn’t give us a way to check without getting under a running car.

My Mustang is a EcoBroosts and it has a Trans. Temp. gauge in the dash. I have to apply the emergency brake and the foot brake, put the tramsnission in drive. Then apply the ACCELERATOR PEDAL to about 1,200 RPM to 1,400 RPM to raise the transmision temperature fliud oil temperture to 190 dergees. To get the proproper fluid temperture. Using an outside of the oil temperture gauge does not get the oil Temp. high enough reading of 190 degrees.

Yes, it is hot, I wear gloves, besure not to over fill.

The oil dipstick works, some cars don.t have anything.
Also be sure car is raised to be level with proper jack-stands.
