I for one am glad that the mustang is starting to shake that stereotype of not being able to go around corners. I know that every one of you guys knows that the EcoBoost Mustang is certainly a more than capable track day car. With less weight than the bigger V8 counter part, the EcoBoost is more of a formidable track day weapon. But with the turbo under the hood, you will definitely be wanting to watch that oil temp if you decide to put it through its paces. That is where the Mishimoto Oil Cooler Kits come in to play!

Mishimoto has a couple options to choose from when picking which oil cooler you'd like to go with. That is non-Thermostatic, and Thermostatic.

The difference between the Thermostatic kit and the Non-Thermostatic kit is the oil sandwhich plate. The Thermostatic Oil Sandwhich plate prevents oil flow to the cooler until the engine oil reaches activating temperature, allowing for both a faster warmup at startup and extra oil system protection in cold climates. This may not be necessary if you live somewhere that never really gets cold, in which case the Non-Thermostatic Kit would work fine for you.

Mishimoto Oil cooler Kit SILVER Non-Thermostatic - $493
Mishimoto Oil cooler Kit BLACK Non-Thermostatic - $493
Mishimoto Oil cooler Kit SILVER Thermostatic - $535.50
Mishimoto Oil cooler Kit BLACK Thermostatic - $535.50

The Oil cooler itself fits directly behind the grill.

Here are some specs:

*Direct-fit for 2015+ Ford Mustang EcoBoost

*Minimal pressure drop
*Application-specific mounting bracket
*Premade braided stainless steel oil lines with durable -AN fittings

*19-row stacked-plate oil cooler for optimal reduction in fluid temperature
*Thermostatic and non-thermostatic options available

*Mishimoto Lifetime Warranty

I'm still wondering if this will fit on the front of the car with one of the bigger intercoolers they sell?
