Thanks for your thoughts and pics! I been thinking about adding an oil cooler to my car. I too have the CVf race and where to mount the cooler
cooled my jets on ponying up for one.

I was going to drill thru the top of the bumper bar, but I sacrificed many drill bits that day. Then, you can make your own mounting points underneath the bumper bar. Instead I used a lot of zip ties and mounted it under the radiator cover. I’ll post a photo of the best install I have seen—I have no idea how this guy did it other than he used the BMR bumper bar. Thanks for your thoughts and pics! I have noticed that the cylinder head temperatures stay low. I have not monitored the oil temperatures enough in spirited driving conditions, so I cannot give a complete review. It fits good even with CVF Race intercooler. If you have a stock location intercooler or an ETS, the install will be easyGreat way to help keep your engine cool! How did you find the install and the fit?? Keep us posted on how it ends up playing out!
Installed this recently. I do not see much information on it, but here is my experience. The kit kept leaking bad. However, Mishimoto replaced the banjo bolts with the spherical looking ones and that solved the leak completely. The install was a pain because I have the CVFabrication Race Intercooler, so there was not a mounting point to use like the directions said.
My tips: hand tightening all of the hardware attached to the sandwich plate before putting it on car. This will reassure that you do not crossthread anything. Also, do yourself a favor and buy a 10 an wrench. Wear clothes you would not mind throwing away. You will also want to tighten the oil filter a little more than the traditional hand tightening. Overall, it looks aggressive, performs as expected, Mishimoto has great customer service, and the Non thermostatic kit would have been just as a great of an option.

Hello I replaced all my stock parts with Mishimoto 2 years ago (radiator, oil cooler with stat, intercooler, catch can). The hoses lasted about and year and leaked like sieve. Had some new hoses fabricated and all is now well. I also added an oil bypass filter from AMS Oil. I run Royal Purple oil and have gotten great oil analysis tests, MPG went 27 to 32 in city and up to 37 highway.Installed this recently. That eco must love you man, it’s probably running cool as hell. I was wondering how difficult it is to install the Mishimoto Radiator. Also, post some pics of it if you can:Hello I replaced all my stock parts with Mishimoto 2 years ago (radiator, oil cooler with stat, intercooler, catch can). From what I read on the forum The oil temperature is inferred instead of an accurate oil temperature. It kinda makes me wish I ordered the non thermostatic sandwich plate. Also installed the thermostatic version of the oil cooler recently. I've been watching my oil temps on the track flirting with the yellow region on the temp gauge. I was talking to another EB track driver and he was getting into the yellow and losing power, so it just seemed like a good idea. The install was easy. I have the CVF street IC, so no custom mounting required. I've seen no leaks and it all seems to be holding together pretty well. Before installing, I tested the thermostat in boiling water and it did open as expected. And, I have 6.5 qts of oil in it, so I know it's working after installation.
So, last weekend was my first track day with the oil cooler. It was a hot Texas day at Eagle Canyon Raceway, but nothing out of the ordinary. I've driven in hot and cool and the oil temp doesn't seem to care a lot. By the end of a track session, it's always hot. Last weekend with the new cooling, I noticed no difference in the oil temp gauge... still flirting with yellow. However, after one session I drove straight from the track to the highway to go gas up, and within about 2 miles of 70 mph cruising, the oil temp had dropped back down to the same mid range as daily driving. That did not happen before.
Overall, I'm glad I did it and I'm hopeful that it'll hold up under the track punishment. But, it's definitely less cooling than I expected.
