If you don't already do so, try running it in full automatic mode, in that mode I believe it switches back n forth between fresh and circulated air itself. So at least you won't have to keep messing with the buttons while you drive. How long its on a setting you like will still be up to it and the humidity level though. So yeah, the HAL9000 reference seems even more fitting now. LOL
I think I tried that, but I’ll try it again.

I guess I’m just old school on a lot of this kind of stuff. I know when to turn my windshield wipers on, I know when to turn my headlights on, I know when to turn outside air on, and I know that my car is running when I walk away from it while its running.

It may be something has been changed for 22/23 since my 2020 premium 201A package car does not switch from fresh to recirc on its own. I always have my climate control set to only vent and floor never auto in the sync screen so it may be that it's a 101A package snafu.

Most definitely old skool here as well.

I'm pretty old school too. That's probably why I'm not a big fan of that huge video game looking screen they'll be putting in the '24 next year. Heck, I even prefer cloth seats over leather, and our still analog guage clusters over the premium one. Figure it has less chance to break and cost me money someday...

My 2020 also has the button in the climate panel for recirc to be on or off for fresh and it stays where I set it at and will default to the last position it was set at when starting/stopping car between drive cycles.

Disabled that double honk with Forscan BTW.
closing the door on the pre-latch (one click) and it won't double honk ever. I learned that with my '18 GT. I've never actually used Forscan, even though I've worked with lots of tuning devices over time.

I wouldn't doubt there are some technical differences between the premium 201a and the base 101a electronics. Ford is weird for stuff like that.

Yes, they are and seems to not make much sense from a manufacturing/programming standpoint to have different operating parameters for simple things like fresh or recirc HVAC control settings.

It's another of Fords better ideas. o_O

I’m not sure if we’re talking about the same thing. I’m talking about walking away from the car while it is running. In my case, when I get out to close my garage door manually. I think it does it with the door open or closed. Are you talking about semi-closing it?

Same here. Cloth over leather, analog over digital. In addition, manual over auto, which definitely meant no 2024 for me.

Before I bought the Mustang, I was seriously considering the Nissan Z. One of the things I didn’t like was the digital dash. To each his own.

Yes, if you don't shut the door all the way, just click it into pre-latch, the double beep doesn't happen as you walk away...the car will just shut off if you exceed the transmitter range (I've never tested out that range though, I'd imagine its less than 50 feet though).

9 times out of 10 I'm stick over auto, but I also like to go fast and the A10 is definitely a quicker 0-60 and 1/4 mile set up, and I plan to put my HPP into the 12 second 1/4 mile range once it warms back up with E30 and suspension and a drag radial. Just for the fun of it...

Interesting.

I already made the Forscan mod but good to know regardless. I’ll have my neighbor try it on his F150.

Yeah, besides the quicker shifts, that first gear in the automatic is crazy low compared to the stick (4.696:1 versus 3.237:1).

But I loooooooove manual transmissions.

Absolutely breathtaking! Huge congrats to you good sir. I love my 10 spd! She knows when to throw power and when to converse gas. I regret ever looking for different cars! (I looked at a 2018 accord when I was purchasing, so glad with my decision.)
thanks!

Going green. Chassis P0024 is also Eruption Green. Manual trans convertible with tan seats.
Feel free to share pics. I get lots of compliments on the green everywhere I go...she shines like a brand new penny out in the sun!
