Hello Yall, I am new to the whole mustang community. I currently just bought a 2020 Ford mustang ecoboost premium with the automatic 10 speed. I need some advice I have been monitoring the forums for some time and was wondering how long I should i wait before I start to mod my mustang. I am a 35 year old army disabled veteran in central texas as dont know much about these cars and just wanted to do some basic upgrades just like I wanted to add the vertical screen and upgrade the stereo a little bit. I also was going to get a catch can but dont know which one I should get and if I should do just one or both sides. I was looking at getting an intanke and exhaust and that was going to be about it. if anyone has any advice that would be great. I currently on have like 56 miles on my mustang and was wondering if I have to wait till I get past the 1000 mile break in period or can I start now. Thanks. Also I would love to hear some advice on what else people would suggest I do. I was also going to tint the windows.

Welcome to the forum!

Car modification is, and should be, an individual thing. When to start and what to do are completely up to you.

Personally I wouldn't do anything mechanical to the car before that first 1000 miles. Others have and had good results, so again, up to you. I can't recommend ceramic window tint highly enough. The dealer did it on mine before I bought it. The tint is good enough that driving in the Texas sun, I haven't gotten that left arm tan that you'll get without the tint. Otherwise my answers are all here: Advice for those new to modifying the ecoboost Mustang

Thanks yall, I have been looking at all the posts and I even went down and talked to the shop specialist at ford where I got my car from and they told me that as long as I got ford performance parts that it would not void my new car warenty. I will though put on the ford catch cans just to protect the engine but other than that I think I am going to hold off on the intake and exhaust untill I have broke the engine in first. One thing I would love to get is the Phonix Automotive 10.4 inch stereo, I know it is not a performance mod but I think it would go good with the digital dash. Has anyone had one and can give me advice on it, weather it is good or just junk that would be great. Thank yall.
