so, occasionally i’d get a p0301 code on cold starts only.
i have a 2017 with 41,000 miles on it
it has
  • no tune
  • roush cai
  • mbrp catback exhaust
i’ve switched the coils - not the problem still stays on cylinder 1
checked the spark plugs, they’re nearly perfect
no signs of vacuum leaks
no signs of head gasket going out (coolant is fine, no white smoke, etc.)
i have no idea what it could be, maybe the fuel injectors or carbon buildup.
does anyone have any suggestions or possibilities on what it could be? this has been going on and off for over a month and a half.

I agree with Cactus Jim - I would change that one plug out, or change places with another plug, maybe you already did this, wasn't sure. It could have micro cracks in the ceramic insulator or whatever that can't be seen by the naked eye. It might save you from going down a rabbit hole? Please let us know what you find in any case. I appreciate being able to learn something. Thanks.
