Ask the previous owner if the wastegate is a 7 pound, or something higher. If it's 7# you can go all the way back to a stock tune. If it's the Tune+ custom wastegate, you'll either need the stock wastegate actuator, or one with a lower spring rate in order to go to any other tune.

You may be best served by paying for a tuning by Tune+ and asking for a tune with better gas mileage as the one it's on now isn't working for you.

And as always, a light right foot is the key to good mileage. I have a predominately highway drive to work as well, and can see low 30's for MPG on my drive back and forth. I also almost always use cruise control once I get on the highway and that helps a lot. Mine gets bad in daily around town on my days off, but I still average 21 MPG since new...

If I were in your shoes, I would normal things up with the stock wastegate, the stock tune and 93 octane.

Yes, you CAN run 87, but I wouldn't, especially when trying to troubleshoot for gas mileage.

Of course the only tank full of 87 octane my car has ever had was what came in it from the dealer. It's seen only 93 octane since November of '16. I would never run a turbo car on anything less than 93.

I will go ahead and do that then. In order to restore to the stock tune, I would need to unmarry my Cobb accessory tuner correct? Also in the future, would I be able to upload the current custom tune if I wanted to?
No, the Cobb tuner has a "Level 0" stored in it which is the original stock settings leaving the Cobb married to the car.

And yes, you'd be able to re-load the custom tune, but... The custom tune is set up with that Wastegate and the WGA table would be incorrect with the stock one in place. That's why you'd need to remove the wastegate actuator and flash back at the same time.
