I just noticed the strangest thing driving home today. When I pull up on all three of my window buttons, my digital display turns off by my gauges as does my interior lighting. Even the lights on the climate controls and engine start stop. So odd, anyone else? Try it out next time, just quickly pull up on all 3 and release, don’t hold.

Sounds like a dying alternator. My Tahoe would do this and the windows would move really slow, figured it’s just because it’s a 20 year old suv. But then the alternator completely died and took my battery with it

also how do you have 3 window switches?

I think it’s important to mention that they didn’t stay off, they just kind a look like they reset. And I have the convertible model which lets me roll down the rear windows, do the hard tops not have this? Thanks for the reply!

no the fast back can’t roll those windows down. didn’t really think about convertibles having read windows. Not a big convertible person, it’s either to hot or too cold out for them where I live

The alternator and battery should still be able to handle voltage spikes like this, maybe go to an auto parts store that can test your alternator and battery. Most places do this for free and it can prevent you from being stranded

I live in Illinois so I feel you on that lol. But the days it’s nice… it’s nice.
Lol central Alberta Canada here ,our weather goes from -40 with windchill -50 all the way to +45 ( in Fahrenheit -40 to 113) spring and fall are really the only times you could run top down here. plus the humidity is brutal lol

but we pay less taxes, still a lot of taxes but less than most of Canada

Also check your battery terminals for corrosion. If your battery is weak or there is a poor ground, the load of all the window motors turning on at once could overwhelm the current flow capabilities through a poor connection.
