I may be crazy. I haven't used the system navigation for quite awhile, as I have been using Google Maps through Android Auto. Yesterday I used it for a local trip and the navigation voice just spoke over the radio. I was sure that before it would mute the radio audio when speaking. I haven't gone through the menus to see if there is a choice for how this works.

Am I crazy? Or did they do an update which changed this?

My Mustang still mutes for directions, but my wife's Lincoln stopped doing it other than every once in awhile. Both are 2019 cars and with the same sync and map updates. And I can't find any setting that would account for the difference between the cars.

Update. I logged onto Ford and it tells me there is an update. Went through the wi-fi process and grafter a few hours it does not appear to have updated. I have it set on automatic updates so I don’t know why it hasn’t updated all along and it’s connected to the wi-fi in the garage.

The update is a big file so it takes quite a while to download on wifi. I finally signed up to have Ford send me a flash drive and do the update from there for navigation. Although it did an update through wifi to the sync system just recently.

I finally just downloaded the update to a flash drive and will do it the next time I’ll be driving for half an hour or so.
