You asked and we listened! Our Steeda S550 reverse lock-out collars are available in billet aluminum or delrin, sure to match any interior!

Steeda S550 Mustang Billet Aluminum Reverse Lock-Out Collar (15-16 GT/EcoBoost/V6)

Steeda S550 Mustang Delrin Reverse Lock-Out Collar (15-16 GT/EcoBoost/V6)

Product Benefits
- Completely replaces your flimsy plastic factory reverse lock-out collar
- Avoid losing reverse capabilities due to broken factory lock-out collar
- Solid one piece design
- 6061 brushed billet aluminum or delrin for strength and style
- Easy installation, only takes minutes
- Steeda quality, lifetime warranty
- Made in the USA

The one big downside to the S550's stock reverse pull up collar is the materials used are cheap and wear/break after prolonged use. The plastic components in the reverse lock-out mechanism on your GT, EcoBoost or V6 shifter were not made to stand the test of time or prolonged use, once broken you will find yourself stuck and unable to engage your pony into reverse.

Our Steeda S550 Mustang Billet Aluminum and Delrin Reverse Lock-Out Collars are a solid one piece replacement for your OE factory lock-out collar. Our lock-out collars are sure to match the interior of your 2015-2016 GT, EcoBoost, or V6 Mustang. You will not need to worry about getting stuck without reverse capabilities, our billet aluminum and delrin reverse lock-out collars will take the abuse and are backed by our Steeda lifetime warranty.

Manufactured in our state-of-the-art facility in Valdosta, Georgia, we have CNC machined our reverse pull up collar out of 6061 billet aluminum or delrin to give your reverse pull up mechanism the strength to last a lifetime. Our Steeda S550 Mustang Reverse Lock-Out Collars install easily and completely replace your stock reverse lock-out collar.

I'm also including some photos to show you how it looks installed!

If my car had a manual trans., I would absolutely get one of these and polish it to a mirror finish...that's just me though. Delrin is such a hard plastic material that it will actually polish to a mirror-black finish. I've used it to make bushings and such.

What would help sell this is a comparison pic of the stock part(s) it is replacing.

I've got a few weeks yet before my car gets here (hopefully by it's est. dely. date of May 5th), but I've been reading all I can about the stock shifter and all the options.

On my 2011 I have the stock shifter with a Barton support bracket. The Barton bracket made a huge difference, but I'd much prefer a shifter solidly mounted to the TRANS, like pre-2005 !! Added a B302 Knob & GT500 Shift Boot combo and really liked the feel AND look. Also liked the "push down" for reverse, so I don't know if I'm too keen on the "pull-up ring" concept that also gives you a fat base below the knob.

I'm strongly leaning towards an MGW as it eliminates the FLOOR mounting, goes back to the "push-down" reverse, and can be had with a B302 style knob for $509.05 shipped with a m6g discount code.

Going with a Steeda Shifter Assy, Reverse Lockout Collar, & Ford Racing Knob you are looking at $554.85 (before forum discount), and you still have a shifter that mounts to the FLOOR. At a typical 5% forum discount price would be $527.11 ... 10% discount (maybe ??) would be $499.37.
For $17 less (or $10 more if 10% disc), I'd rather have a trans. mounted shifter !!

Staying with the stock shifter but upgrading to a Steeda Short Throw kit, Rev Lockout Collar, Rear Support Bracket, & FR Knob you are spending $319.80 ... eliminate the short-throw kit and you are still spending $189.85 (before forum discount).

I have the Barton shifter on mine and absolutely love it. I'm going with this upgrade to eliminate the "weak link" with the factory plastic collar.

I like that there are options ... I didn't like the push down bit myself, but maybe it's what I'm used to.

It's great that there are upgrades that make our cars the better!

I know "Mr. Delrin." E-Bee's IRS is full of Delrin. ;)

I put the aluminum version on my Steeda Triax. Not hard to install with basic hand tools and a little patience, looks good, feels great, and I love to know that it will never fall apart.
