Tuning the EcoBoost soon

So I plan on tuning my EcoBoost relatively soon and I'm trying to figure out if I should do any smaller mods before the tune just to avoid any issues down the road. I've got a JLT cold air intake, MBRP catback exhaust, and a Turbosmart Plumb back BOV. A Mishimoto intercooler is on the way. A lot of people are talking about a catch can and the tune+ spark plugs. Are these something I should get before the tune?

If you get lifetime tunes from Tune+ or PD it shouldn't be an issue. You'd be able to get a free retune everytime you add another performance part. Definitely get the Tune+ plugs. They are the iridium gapped to .028" out if the box. Should help the car run smoother.

I haven't got a Pro Tune yet (still using Cobb OTS stage 3 w/ 93octane). But if I had it to do over, I'd probably commit to spending a $1000 on a stage 1 pro tune (including tuning device and data logger). The information you collect and have analyzed by a professional is valuable. Then you can make your mods accordingly!
Good quality gas (OAR -1) and good spark plugs are two things I would check before a tune. Also check your hoses and connections those 3rd gear pulls to data log put a good amount of boost PSI into your engine.

Thanks, I have been debating about the spark plugs. Maybe a stupid question, what is OAR -1?

I'm using obd fusion with the same expensive dongle and the enhanced ford pids and I don't see the cylinder 1 through 4 knock counters, the OAR, spark advance, or knock spark control pids. Are they custom? Or am I not seeing all I should see. 2021 base with 101A package. Thanks

I don't think the guy you replied to is here anymore. Maybe someone else knows...?
As far as a mod goes. I've enjoyed the upgraded wastegate actuator. The factory wastegates can get weak over time, and, if you get a 7lb (same as stock) spring wastegate actuator from turbosmart, you can then upgrade your spring with your tunes over time to play with more power
