My 2017 EcoBoost has this program that when you shut the engine off and get out of the car, close the door, and Walk Away the doors will lock automatically.
Then, when you come back to the car within a few feet the doors, will unlock.
I bought my car 2 months ago and this was how it worked.
Now the doors will NOT lock automatically when I walk away. I have to use the remote to lock the doors. But when I come back and get within 3 ft the doors it will automatically unlock.

How do I use the control buttons on the steering wheel to make the walk-away locking program work correctly, to "lock when I walk-away" PLEASE?

I found out what happened. My wife had her remote in her purse and I was using mine and driving. The car was using my KEY FOB so when I got out of the car and she stayed in the car. The system knew and would not lock the doors. I did not realize that at the time.
all you have to do to change the system to work correctly is use my wife's KEY FOB to lock and open the doors. Now the walk away program works correctly.

Now I'm curious if my 2015 has this option, that would be handy!
