I finally got around to hooking up the permanent leads for my battery tender that was a Christmas gift from my kids. Hooked the positive to the rear post on the under hood fuse box and the negative to the ground on the top of the strut. This setup is supposed to be best for the battery monitoring system. Fed the lead to charger under the rear of the hood and charger is sitting on windshield which will be a good reminder for me to unplug it before driving away! Car has been sitting a lot more this winter, so happy to get it set up prior to some really frigid weather this week.

I got a Steeda short throw shifter, the Steeda base bushing, and the Steeda Black lockout collar installed today. I’d already replaced the clutch spring so for less than $500 parts and labor (parts from their New year’s sale) it’s like I have a brand new drivetrain. Bonus of no new added noise or vibration.

I found the picture of the nut from Home Depot, it’s a M6-1.0 pozi lock.
Thanks for the idea.. I really like how it came out
I order an extension. Made a gasket for it and since the connection was straight I had to make it 90 degrees to fit where I wanted and then just routed the cable into the battery compartment.

Yes, that is another popular location for the plug that I have seen.

Finally after a cracked block and about a year of time. Got my mustang back up and running. Now time to break in new block to get set up for pro tune.
Congratulations!
Which engine block did you decide to go with?

I added the Ford Performance shock tower brace. If that made in difference besides lightening my wallet I don't feel it.

So, no noticeable reduction in cowl shake? This was why I was considering one. I think if you really want to tighten it up you’d have to add the Steeda G-Trac brace, or similar, on the bottom.

I feel like when it comes down to handling. You can't just add one think and feel a different you have to continue to upgrade the suspension to actually get the effect you want. When I added the frame bushing and the shock tower brace. I didn't feel much of a different but when I did the track package Ford performance then the difference became noticeable. Overall small things like the frame bushing or just the tower will benefit the vehicle. My next is the full kit is stop the hop. But that is for next year.

Lol. I have that sitting in the garage waiting for it to warm up a bit. It’s more comfortable to lean into the hood than be on the ground.
