Hey fellas,

Just wanna get some inputs from you to see if anybody has had experience with this. Long story short, the aftermarket wheels on my car right now (used for winter) did not sit flush onto the front hubs of the car due to the dust caps, which was then removed. Having said that, I'm aware of the possible issues this may cause to the wheel bearings, so I want to put the dust caps back on but was wondering if 3mm (3/16") wheel spacers will provide enough clearancee? Or would I need to go with 8mm (5/16") wheel spacers?

i just had this happen after fitting aftermarket winter wheels. Stock is 45 offset on 19" . i went with 18x9 with 38 offset to clear PP brakes. i didn't know that part is a dust cap. my rears didn't have any (hoping that's normal) but fronts do. so rear center cap pops in but front needs ~5mm more clearance to pop in. the plan=bore/drill out the center of cheap plastic center cap, then apply 3M double side adhesive around perimeter and affix appropriate sized cover on top
