Howdy all! Anybody ever run 5 star tuning on their eco-stang? I was running an Unleashed tune on my 2015 base model EcoBoost but just slipped into a 2016 premium and wanted to know if 5 Star offered similar quality for a lower price?
I'm using a SCT bdx tuner by the way.

I've used 5* on my 17 3.5 F150 for years now and have always been impressed with their tunes and customer service. I purchased a 2020 HPP 2.3 in January and have a 5* 91 tune for that also. I'm currently running the Cobb 91 stage3 OTS while my revision for the CVF catted DP I just installed is being done. With 5* they also tune the transmission for the $165 tune price. I've never ran unleashed so I can't give you a comparison but 5* has been great for me.

Thanks for the replies! I have heard their reputation with the trucks and know there are already rangers with our same motor running 5* tunes, I just didn't know if anyone had some first-hand experience in the mustangs

Alright, so I've been running a 5 star 93 performance tune for a couple months now. I had a few overboost codes get thrown and believe I need to upgrade my wastegate, which I plan to soon. However, I bought a knock-off gfb diverter valve and that has helped a lot.
The car drives like a GT when you put on sport mode, but is a little more tame in regular drive. Compared to Unleashed, 5 star gives more low-end umph, which is where I drive the most anyway, but Unleashed gives more top-end pull. Definitely a good bang for your buck tune!
