Dave is like some sort of Yoda. He is also right. Do as does Dave my friend. Change with the manual you should. When the owners manual tells you too.

A fluid change without a filter change is like putting on your dirty underwear after you take a shower. The filter, and your underwear, are both.. uh... dirty. When you change the fluid do you also do filter? Mackuloko says only fluid at 30, i'm at 35k and bringing it in this week for a fluid change I think. Looking at the 6R80 it looks like an exceptionally built unit, I almost hate to not change a serviceable filter with an integrated pan gasket! Seems every other car i own/owned has a "problem" trans but this one.
Download one off the interweb.I don’t have no owner manual do you know what it is ?

Thanks for the tip. I'm not as concerned if this Zak stuff meets spec but i suppose in theory its at most a 10 oz bottle on top of 3.2 gallons of fluid. The interesting thing to me is googling the part numbers comes up with the actual products. The trans fluid PN is XT-10_XXXX where I believe the XXXX is how it's sold (quarts, gallons, bulk). I was able to find a nice little picture of the Zaks kit but zero on any good or bad reviews. I'm most maddened because I specifically said only the Mercon LV, yet they put something else in on top. As maniacal as I am, I pulled up (to throw out) my maintenance history on my last car that went 230k without trans issues and I found that a dealer put the BG version of this snake oil in at one of the flushes on it, so maybe it wont be bad. Plus it is a rather large dealer in a rather large area so i'd assume they would have many p'd off people if this stuff ruined their transmissions. Regardless now I know when my Escape needs a flush to specifically call out in big letters not to do anything else to it.FWIW, when my son was the service manager at a local CDJR dealership they purchased oil, transmission fluid and antifreeze in bulk from a local distributor. It met the Mopar specs but was not the mopar brand. It was distributed to the service bays via an overhead system. The only time you got the mopar brand fluids is if you went to the parts counter or had a vehicle that required something unique they couldn't justify taking up position in the overhead distribution system.

my Ford dealership did this to me 2 or 3 times. our 2.3 ecoboost mustangs take 5w30 and every time or most of the recent times I had them change my oil they kept putting 5w20 on the paperwork or on the service sticker and every time I had them get the mechanic to make sure he put in 5w30 and not the 5w20. its pretty stupid for them not to understand the difference between viscosity even if its just on paper. Thanks for the tip. Going down the rabbit hole of dealer maintenance, can they tell through the WO system what the mechanic actually dispensed to any job on that system? When they screwed up the paperwork on the oil change they claimed to check this but I have a mental image of a bunch of tubes running from the ceiling and the only check would be whether or not the big drum in back is empty.
It is way to early. It’s an over kill. Transmission fluid doesn’t break down like oil so you don’t treat it like oil. More chance of something happening disturbing it more than dealer recommended. It’s a sealed system on a automatic Ecoboost. There is no dipstick which I like No dirt or specs of anything that can get into it from checking the level which doesn’t change unless you have a leak. You are ahead of the game doing it at 100000. If does says 150000. I just turned 100000 and only at this point so I feel it’s time to do it soon. That’s my opinion. I haven’t had any issues during the 100000 on my 2016 mustang Ecoboost premium 14Man I just feel like 30k is really early
