Hey guys I have a question about the driving modes. I have the base model ecoboost and I just want to know if that comes with the different driving modes (normal, sport, etc)? Or was that an add on? Sorry I am still learning my car!

the 'selectable drive modes', unfortunately is a feature included on the Premium trim. However, there is a Sport mode in the AdvanceTrac system on base model cars, in addition to the sport mode on the transmission (AT). To access it, press the traction control button twice quickly and watch your info display. What does this do, specifically? Have not figured that out yet. Have heard that it 'relaxes' the AdvanceTrac system, allowing more aggressive driving/maneuvering before the system intervenes.

I believe the inquiry was in reference to the 'selectable drive modes', selected via toggle switch. that is a 'premium' feature.
Yes the AT cars have a D/S mode. Yes all of the cars have selectable steering feel. Yes all of the cars have selectable traction control, which does a little more than turn the TCS on/off. No all cars do not have toggle switch activated driving modes.
Hopefully I have explained what I believe to be the answer the OP was looking for.

I have a Premium with the driving mode switch.

Switching to Sport mode puts the steering in Sport, increases throttle response (actually can be felt as a slight blip in the throttle when switched), tones down the traction control and tones down the stability control (AdvanceTrac).

Switching to Trac mode puts the steering in Sport, increases throttle response (feels the same as Sport), turns off traction control and toned down stability control (again feels no different than Sport).

To completely turn off stability control you need to hold the traction control switch for about 10 secs until the dash display says it's off.

Switching to Snow/Wet mode deadens throttle response a lot, increases the influence of traction control and increases the influence of stability control. I got my Mustang in January right at the beginning of the worst winter in Boston's recorded history. Between then and when I put the summer tires back on in April I drove about 3500 miles most of which was in snow mode. If you live where the roads are ****ty in the winter snow mode by it self is worth the cost of the Premium.

The three steering modes are very suttle differences. I seldom change from Normal except on long trips I like Comfort.

steering mode...IMHO 'comfort' feels very '80s. one finger lock to lock, and I like it in tight places. am not a fan of it at higher speed. 'normal' is good for all around, and 'sport' really tightens it up...has a hefty feel. I notice a pronounced difference in the 3 modes.
as for the drive modes in the non-Premium car, I think the 'sport' mode accessible by the quick double press of the TC button is a combination of the Sport and Trac in the way it tones down the intervention thresholds. Have not noticed a difference in throttle response or overriding the steering feel. I will play with it more and report back.
wish list: a way to get 'snow/wet' mode in the base car.

Love the snow/wet when it rains here in the mid-south. Lots of standing water in a VERY short period of time. Hope she never sees snow :) IF it snows, I'll take the wife's car lol

Driving mode switches come on Premium models. The non-premium cars still have the selectable steering, the TCS button that has multiple functions, and S mode (AT only).
