Hey everyone, I got a 08 s197 v6 . Love the body type , blew my engine a while back pulled it out and now just looking to put in something different, so I wanted to put a coyote at first but now I'm really interested in a Ecoboost, would it be compatible for my car ????? Learning as I'm going ... Would like to hear opinions from me fellow mustang peers

It would be compatible and a fairly big undertaking, but it wouldn't be too difficult if you've done swaps before and are proficient with working on cars. Ford makes it about as easy as possible in providing the crate motor and the wiring stuff you need, I'd go with a standalone ECU like Link and it's pretty straightforward from there. I'm curious what's got you interested in the Ecoboost and why you wouldn't just buy a S550 ecoboost.

I am going to thread the needle between the bronco and the pony :p: If you want to do it because it is interesting and cool, it is definitely doable and Ford can facilitate making it happen; if you want to do it because you think it could be cheap and easy it most definitely will not.
