Hi. I use my USB ports mainly for charging my cellphone and occasionally for Google maps (Android auto). However none of the ports are working any longer, I tried different cables and different phones. (For charging and connecting). Any ideas? Car is 15 months old.

 

Did you get it fixed?

 

Possibility that the USB ports have failed. You can easily replace the one in the center console for $50. Not sure about the one by the coin tray.

I'd think maybe a fuse or poor connection(s) at port plugin.

 

Do you still have power at the cigarette lighter socket, or are just the USB ports affected?

 

Hi. The cigarette lighter socket is still functional, unfortunately it's both the USB ports that are defective.

 

Thanks everyone for your response. Took the car to Ford and they found an electrical fault, ports are fixed now.

 

If you don’t mind me asking, was this covered under warranty or did you have to pay out of pocket?

 

I have a 2019 USB port under radio working hit or miss. If I take it to Ford going to charge me is it’s just a fuse. Can someone tell me where I could check the fuse at before letting Ford charge me.

 

Fuse panel is in the passengers kick panel. Check owner Manuel for the fuse locations on the panel.

I know this Maybe a dumb question but in the fuse diagram there isn’t anything that says USB port. What would be another name for it?

 

Hi, by any chance did you ever get a response to this question? I'm experiencing the same issues you were having, and I want to make sure it's not just a fuse, before I start replacing parts.

 

If it’s just a fuse problem. I will be charged close to $100 they said. It’s actually working now.

Will this apply for a vehicle under an extended warranty?

 

Mine is still not working I was told fuse number 59 which was in the engine compartment. Halifax can find a fuse with a number 59 though

 

The fuse for the infotainment system is number 32.

 

Having same issue with the USB port on my dash... taking up for service and still under my warranty (i hope)

 

i am having same issue with my 2021 Mustang Gt Conv. but it is only the port on the dash.

 

Another workaround is to install a 2 port Carplay hub in the center console to replace the 1 port and just ignore the port under the center stack. They can be found new in the $45-$75 range depending on where you source it and shipping.
